2004 reunion is set for Oct. 21-24 at the Clarion Hotel Charleston Airport. Room rates are $74 a night and that includes a hot buffet breakfast each morning and free shuttle to and from airport. Reservation- 843-572-2200 and mention Corry reunion rate. Hotel located at 7401 Northwoods Blvd.

CHARLESTON REUNION: The reunion is set for October 21-24. Arrive Thursday, Oct. 21 and depart Sunday, Oct. 24. We encourage you to come in early on Wednesday to get aquainted. That is an arrival on Wednesday if you care to come a day early and departure on Sunday morning. The Hotel is the Clarion Airport. Room rates are just $74 a night. E-Mail: If you want to be certain that I get your e-mail set the subject line to USS Corry. I get about 35 e-mails everyday, 99% in garbage and I delete them, I look at the subject and the sender but it's easy to delete a legitimate e-mail, if you send me a request and get no response send it again. OBITUARIES: It is once again my sad duty to announce the passing of two Corry "Soulmates". Walter Kraus, LTJG 1947-50, lost his wife Pat earlier this year.
Dick Smith, Corry Assn. Vice Pres., lost his wife Patty on November 8, 2003. Our sympathies go out to these Shipmates and their families. Jim Shaftic [email protected]

NEWSLETTER: I put the newsletter and Corry Address Book in the mail to all dues payers on October 30. If you are a dues payer and do not receive them by November 7, contact me. 2003 REUNION IN SEEKONK, MA: We had 33 shipmates and a total of 68 with guests and wives in attendence at Seekonk,MA reunion last week. 3 plank owners,1 CO(John Lowell 64-65) attended. Battleship Cove is a sight not to be missed if you go to New England. Toured the ships, including the Gearing class DD Joseph Kennedy. Had lunch on the Batttleship Massachusetts in the ward room. Everyone had a really great time.
