ODDS AND ENDS:
AIRPORTS: The Cleveland Hopkins Airport is about 45 miles away, The resort does run a shuttle so check with them on particulars. The Youngstown/Warren Airport may be an option for those flying from Florida or Myrtle Beach, Allegiant Air flies to Youngstown and their rates are very good. You have to rent a car and drive 45 minutes to the resort, but it may be worth it.
GOLF: If you want to play golf instead of touring, contact shipmate Gil Bernhart at 513-543-9395 or at [email protected] . These two courses are country clubs and you can golf them if you stay at the resort.
CUT OFF DATES: The last date to reserve your room is August 31. Return your activity sheet and check to me by September 15
WHITE ELEPHANT RAFFLE: For those of you that will be attending the reunion for the first, we ask that you bring a gift for the raffle in the $10 to $15 range. We then sell tickets and you can win as many gifts as your tickets are pulled.
CHECK WITH THE HOTEL: Ask the resort what their cancelations, early departure or shuttle policies are. The Corry Assn. cannot be responsible for any charges.
TOURS: Tours are expensive and I picked two that I thought you would enjoy. The tour bus holds a maximum of 55. If any of the tours are full up and there are not enough to hire another buss, then the last received activity sheets will not make the tour and will be given a refund.
BANQUET: The only way to get the dinner cost to $35 instead of in the $40’s was to agree on a two choice menu. If you have special dietary needs let me know.
LUNCH AT THE WINERY: Other then I know it will be a great lunch, I don’t know what the winery we are going to use or what is on the menu. I wanted to get the newsletter in the mail and not have to do it on vacation. If choices need to be made for lunch, I’ll contact you at a later date.
If you need to get in while we are in Hilton head, Call on Marilyn’s cell, 330-360-7872. I am one of the last hold outs on getting a cell phone. I’ll check my emails while I’m away, [email protected] .
Hope to see all of you in Ohio this fall.
