10-22-08 Hello everyone. This is to let you know that our soulsister, Lori Bickert, will soon be scheduled for 2 valve replacements to her heart. I have written to her wishing her well and ask that you each do the same. Her address is 296 W. Boot Rd., West Chester, PA 19380. We all wish her a speedy recovery. In addition, our belated best wishes go to Lucy Johnson, who has had some health challenges. Her address is 3333 26th Ave., E. #1339, Bradenton, FL 34208. Also, ladies, this is to inform you that any soulsister can post to this Soulmates' page by writing your message to Jerry Johnson, [email protected]. Marilyn S.. |

The Soulmates met separately in Cecilia Smith’s suite. Thanks for all the goodies and refreshments, Cecilia. It was resolved that we would make an additional attempt to keep in contact with one another whenever there were birthdays, deaths, illnesses and anniversaries among the Corry members. Barb graciously offered to generate a separate soulmates email and address list. She has agreed to be the point person, so communicate all info to Barb McGoohan at [email protected].

Great news, thus far it looks like 74 corry shipmates and soulmates are attending Cape May's reunion in November. We will have a great time. Please advise of any concerns through this chatbox or contact me at mn.[email protected]. Marilyn

USS Corry Association dues are payable by February 1, 2005. If you have not sent yours to the Treasurer please do so. They are $20 payable to USS Corry Association and should be mailed to Gail Owens, Treasurer, 5552 Heather Hill Drive, Roanoke, VA 24019. We have about 60 shipmates that have already paid and paying soon will eliminate the need to send out postcards. Happy New Year to all from Wayne and me. Thanks, Gail Owens, Treasurer

Carolyn and Dave Colburn are being hit hard by several things
this holiday season. Both Dave and Carolyn are facing surgery in January,
Dave's mother died last week and several other deaths in their family including
Carolyn's niece and nephew. I think they would appreciate prayers and cards
of concern from the Corry members.
Merry Christmas, Gail

Many blessed years of good health and happiness, and just plain fun.
Best wishes to Carolyn and David Colburn who are facing surgery and health

It is with regret that I inform you that Robert Lindell's spouse and our Soulmate, Carol, passed away on October 21, 2004. They were reserved and planned to attend our reunion in Charleston. Our deepest sympathy goes out to Robert and his family on this unexpected death. Marilyn Shaftic
